Mark Probasco

Mark became a Deacon in 2017. He and Nancy live in Oakdale and began attending Rockpoint Church in 2015. Mark is an usher and Nancy helps with communion. They joined a life group right away and have made some wonderful friends as they share their joys and struggles and study the word of God and pray for each other.

Mark grew up in Loveland, CO and prayed to receive Christ as his Savior at age 10. After graduating from high school he attended Northwestern college in Roseville, MN. He currently works for the American Red Cross, has been on staff with Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge and other church and parachurch organization‘s. Mark and Nancy were both raised in Christian homes and appreciate the emphasis on the word of God and the family at Rockpoint.

Mark and Nancy met at Northwestern College in the 70s and were married in 1978. They have four adult children and nine grandchildren. It seems like their main hobby recently is spending time with their children and grandchildren. They have a dog named Bentley and enjoy traveling. Mark also likes to bicycle and read biographies.

“When Nancy and I were married, we had Psalm 37:4 in our vows. “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” We have tried to delight in him all the time, but it hasn’t always happened. During one of the hardest times in our marriage, we heard a song about God‘s unfailing love. As we read the Scriptures, especially the Psalms, we saw that phrase again and again about God’s unfailing love. God’s unfailing love still overwhelms me today! I want to always be giving and receiving grace and mercy and love as only God can. My goal is to always point people to Jesus and be controlled by his Spirit.”
