Sarah joined Rockpoint Church in 2010 with her family. Through the years she has participated in a variety of children’s and women’s ministries. Sarah joined the Deacon team in 2017.
Growing up, Sarah was raised in a home that talked about Jesus and some Christian principles. At the same time she moved every 4-5 years due to her father’s employment. So, Sarah heard about Jesus by attending a lot of differing churches with different worship styles in a variety of environments and cultures. She decided that Jesus’ love and sacrifice was just to amazing to ignore any longer when she was 17. As she grew with Jesus, she made it through college, met and married her husband, and became the mother of 2 children. Her family came to Rockpoint because they were looking for a church closer to home that was centered on the Bible.
Sarah is married to Nathan and they have two children, Tyler and Beth. The four of them love to stay active in a variety of ways including biking, traveling, watching movies, and listening (loudly) to music. And Sarah usually has a camera nearby to document it all!
“Colossians 3:1-17 has a been a section of scripture that has been a “go-to verse” for Sarah over the years. Verse 16 is even more significant at this time: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
